I went to the Keith Urban concert with a girlfriend Saturday night. I didn't realize how "yummy" he is...I think it may have something to do with that Australian accent and those dimples! And while I didn't know that many songs of his, except for the ones you hear on the radio, the show was phenomenal. I was blown away by his energy. He looks as though he truly enjoys what he's doing. Every song seems so personal to him...he will be singing, and grin at a certain line. You can just tell that it meant "something" to him. I was still worn out this morning from such a fun night of 
dancing and screaming. These are some pics that we took Saturday night.Funny story: Brian's customer was telling him that she went to the concert in Des Moines on Sunday night...she saw Keith walking in to the arena from his tour bus, and all she could think to say is "Hey Keith, you cute little turd!" Cracked me up.
He is quite the cute little turd, for sure!

I think my very first concert was Bon Jovi in '89. Can't stand them now, but he was soooo cool and gorgeous eighteen years ago. I saw them all...Whitesnake, Skid Row, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Poison. I was such a little junior high hair band fan!
I also met Mark Slaughter when he was huge in the seventh grade. Signing autographs down on the Civic floor. Gave me a kiss on the cheek, got a little bit of lip. And then I was standing in line for the bathroom with my friend Angi, and a roadie asked if I wanted to meet Bush, way back in '96, when Gavin was a god. I was like, "Ummm, yeah!" Met the Goo Goo Dolls, and Bush later that night. Same thing happened (I swear) with my friend Julie, and some roadie gave us passes, and we had a beer with the Verve Pipe.
I'm such a band whore! ;)

Ok. my first concert.. I think it was the Beach Boys.. with my dad and i think i was 8yrs old. they came and played after a Royals game or something. I got a poster and had it in my room until I got into high school maybe. But my first real concert was Bryan Adams.. also with my dad. I think i was 12 or something. I vividly remember how cool it was and that my ears were ringing for days. I later went to Greenday in high school. Honestly I am not much of a concert person. I LOVE live music, but get all cheapy when it comes to the tickets and having to spend 50bucks or more a ticket. Jim is the same way so needless to say we don't go very much. There are a couple people I would love to see - Jack Johnson, John Mayer, David Mathews..

I think my first concert was NKOTB!! I traveled all the way to Iowa to see them, had third row seats and Donnie Wahlberg blew me a kiss. I know, your jealous! Then I later went to Vanilla Ice. That was sort of embarrassing in front of my mom! Lately I have been to Black Eyed Peas which was great and also to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, which was AMAZING! I really really want to see Dave Matthews sometime.
I love you girls...totally count me in for John Mayer (had the opportunity a couple weeks ago, but it was in Des Moines, and my friend Tami won tickets that day), and Jack Johnson and Dave Matthews - although he's not the same as he was when I was in college (when I adored him!)
My first concert was Diana Ross, in 3rd grade I think. Then NKOTB, Whitney Houston...on the flip side, I have also seen 9-inch nails (which was kinda scary!) My fav. so far is probably Matchbox 20 or Rascal Flatts.
Oooh I want in on this conversation...First of all I second Jill, Jami I didn't know you were such a band whore. And My first concert was Michael Bolton(I know you're jealous) with my mom and sister...and I like Jill don't go to many...I'm pretty sure the only other one that I've been to was John Mayer for my birthday I think right after I got married. LOVED IT!!! But I would totally go se DMB(but true Nici, not as cool as a few years ago) and I'd go see Jack Johnson...let's keep our eyes peeled and make it a girls night sometime! It would be so much fun to go as a group. I'm a jealous of the Faith and Tim concert...I love those two!
i think we should start calling Jami our little band whore.. and lets have a bunko night where we all wear band tshirts and make our bangs ratted up high and tease our hair on the sides to make wings. that would be hot!
what has happened to DMB anyways! he used to be really good.. now he is not as much..
