It is official folks, Jill is now a recycler. I have never recycled before.. and lately feel like I should be doing something to help the planet. So I called the trash company today and am having them drop off a green box. Jim and I are already starting to put stuff in paper bags... its amazing how much stuff you throw away can be recycled! I guess there are some cool products out there too that don't have any chemicals and are good for the environment: Method products at Target and Seventh Generation, which is sold at Target and HyVee. I guess Seventh Generation even makes diapers that are good for the earth and have no chemicals. Has anyone tried this stuff?
Or am I just really slow on getting on this bandwagon..
Anyways, just think its cool.. but dont worry.. I am not turning all hippy on anyone and still shave my armpits every morning. :)

I like the method stuff from target, especially the sweet water smell...but didn't know it was good for the earth. Way to go my hippie friend!
YAY!!! Now Brian will finally stop making fun of me! ;) I think that's so awesome, and important! I have a little fact on the side of our fridge that says, "If you throw an aluminum can into the trash instead of the recycling bin, it will stay around in the dump for 80-100 years. That's how long it takes to decompose!" Why not just take two extra seconds and throw that puppy in the bin? Only means a better planet for Kate when she's older! Yee-haw!
what method products do you use colleen?
I told you I like the sweet water hand soap. Love the smell. Sucky thing for us is that we aren't in the city limits so we have to PAY to recycle...so we don't....seems a little silly don't you think?
I LOVE the Method foaming hand soap. I have tried the multi purpose cleaner too and I like the smells...hope it's actually cleaning!
It costs us to recycle through our trash company too since we're SID - but Jami, I do recycle pop/beer cans!
